Our Philosophy

Mini Minors Early Learning Centre is a vibrant, innovative and family owned and operated childcare centre that is committed to providing high quality care for all children and their families. We are passionate and dedicated to ensuring that all children are provided with the best start to their learning and education. We value and take pride in our centre building strong collaborative relationships with all our families and our staff team.

Acknowledgement of Country

Mini Minors Early Learning Centre acknowledges that we are meeting on the traditional country of the Wonnarua people of the Wonnarua Nation and pay respect to Elders past and present. We recognise and respect their cultural heritage, beliefs and relationship with the land, which continue to be important to the Wonnarua people living today.

Our Beliefs

We believe in providing children with ongoing opportunities to allow them to develop, establish and maintain open two-way trusting relationships with educators. - We believe families are the primary influence in their child’s life, and therefore strive to continually develop and maintain collaborative and open partnerships with all families. - We believe children and families have the right to be respected, valued and appreciated regardless of their diverse needs. - We believe children learn best through play and everyday experiences and will provide a playbased program to foster and support each child’s development and learning based on their individual strengths, interests and needs.

Our Commitments

To provide a caring, safe, secure and welcoming environment that fosters open exploration and positive interactions between educators and children. - To provide trusting and committed relationships with families and caregivers. - To encourage and acknowledge the voices of our children and their values, beliefs, interactions and approaches. - To provide regular information to our families through the use of Story Park to gain input to their child’s learning and program development. - Our educators keep up to date with current practices and child development including the early years learning framework and we encourage our educators to share their talents and interest within our program and feel that our children benefit holistically from a vast array of influences and experiences. - We are committed to a culture of community involvement and ongoing improvement.

Our Goals and Aspirations

To provide a high-quality curriculum that is based on the fundamentals of the Early Years Learning Framework that will allow children to flourish and to enrich their learning that will provides a successful transition to school. - To educate and encourage healthy and nutritious eating habits for children and families. - We are committed to moving forward and plan to incorporate learning experiences that increase our children's awareness of sustainability and the importance of caring for the environment.
